Board member terms are for three years. Elections for open positions are held at the annual meeting each year. Board meetings are held at the Club House on the third Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m.

Architectural Review Board
The ARB is responsible for reviewing all plans for landscaping, new construction as well as exterior renovations of existing homes. Architectural Review Board members are appointed by the CPCA Board. If you are planning to build a new home in our community or would like to make changes to your existing home, it is mandatory that you contact the Architectural Review Board to ensure your plans are consistent with the Protective Covenants & Restrictions.

The Carter Plantation Community Development District is comprised by a five-member board appointed by the Livingston Parish Council.
The CDD obtains operating funds via Carter Plantation property tax assessments, water & sewer bills.
The CDD manages water, sewerage, streets, and signage for Carter Plantation.
The District Board of Supervisor meetings are open to the public.
Meeting notices are required to be posted at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.
The purpose of the Historic Carter House Society is to foster appreciation of Carter Plantation’s unique history, carry out historical research, preservation of the Carter House and Carter Plantation, education, and provide the public with meaningful heritage experiences.
